cyberchum I wanted to put together a little thinking of you gift for my Great nephew starting kindergarten, and I believe my gift was well received. I also bought some chunky pencils, glue sticks, etc and hopefully they all added to his excitement. I found that quality of the bag exceeded my original expectation. Zipper seemed very secure, and I believe will hold up fine to a 5 year old boy. The interior space isn't really huge, but it did hold the chunky pencils, an eraser, and glue sticks quite easily.
