I bought the Yellow Mustard and the Mint and I love them both. The Mint is gorgeous and keeps selling out for good reason. The Yellow Mustard is unusual because it can appear as slightly different hues under a variety of lighting, from genuine yellow mustard to more of an apricot or mango, but the fabric is always a slightly different shade from the zippers and edges. It's also lighter so the gray fabric in the very last compartment, with the elastic loops, shows through a bit in the back. You might want to see it in person if you're on the fence and picky like me ( and since they're all so soft and slightly complex in design, they can look a tad bit sloppy in how the edges are hemmed in the see-through compartment which doesn't bother me but I could see it bothering others who want a more pristine look.) The zippers feels good. Because they're a tiny bit uneven, I have to be careful of the inner lining sometimes but overall it glides smoothly and rarely catches. That said, I feel like they're not as great for organizing different supplies as I'd hoped and to a certain extent, that's on me. The middle compartment and the clear plastic compartment share the entire floor of the pouch and thus fight a little bit over the amount of space each one has. Pencils and pens in the middle can get tucked underneath the seam for the see-through compartment. This isn't a big issue and it can still fit an incredible amount of supplies in each, but the more you add, the harder it is to find anything because they're both so narrow. Using both compartments means they vie for space. Even at half to a third full it's a bit hard to locate what I want in the middle. At least with the front I can see the whole thing from the side. In the middle I really have to dig around which is mildly annoying, especially the more there is to dig through. And while I initially thought the last compartment with the elastics would be the best, I feel more reserved in that assessment now. While the elastic loops fit most pens and pencils, they struggle a bit with anything bigger, especially if it has a comfort grip. Plus, I swear I kept running into the extremely minor issue where I had 8 items I wanted on the same side but of course there's only 7 elastics per side. You can potentially double up smaller pencils but that makes me a bit nervous because I know the elastic will wear out and loosen over its lifespan which could be hastened by doing that. Also, while I like the idea of the pocket in the back, unless you're storing something short in the elastics above it or it's a very small or slim item, like a stamp or a memo pad perhaps, the pencils and pens will get in the way of keeping anything in it. I also noticed putting any remotely larger pen or pencil in the outer flap made it bulge outward even if they were one per elastic and not enormous or had the clip facing inward. It just wants to buckle with anything substantial in there. I could still zip it up but it just makes me reluctant to add anything to the mesh pocket, since doing so made it look bulky. I almost wish they'd included two small pockets instead or perhaps one large pocket with maybe a closure just so things can't roll out but then I don't know if that would've made it bulge worse. Maybe a place to store a small notepad or sketchbook?? Though it would have to be reasonably small of course. The truth is, I don't know what would help with some of these minor flaws or if they even can be overcome with a multiple-compartment pouch; it may be the nature of the beast. I still recommend the Half & Half Pencil Cases because it's a good size, it holds a lot, and in theory you could easily live with the annoyances and just have this one pouch to keep a few things sorted and the rest all tossed in together. It seems pretty good for travel in that respect, as long as you're not too worried about having to really dig or pull things out to find what you need from the middle. The most frequently used items could go in the front or back compartment to minimize this issue but anything in the back could still be a bit fussy. You could also fit this into a large binder; it has loops for that. The fiddly nature and limited capacity in the flap compartment is the main reason I'm docking a star. Maybe it could be improved in the next iteration? It's not bad; I just wish it was more versatile than it currently is. My expectations might've been too high. :)
