FUN & EASY EASTER CRAFT IDEAS

April 14, 2022

Easter is THE holiday for anyone with a creative imagination. With bunnies and chicks and Easter eggs, there is so much to love and so many ideas for things we can do with our children to enhance the celebration of the Easter holiday.

At ZIPIT we know that it doesn’t take much to spark a great imaginative creation. We asked our design team to share some easy and simple craft ideas that can be made with materials you probably already have laying around the house like paper, cardboard, egg cartons, paint, string and more...

The following are 3 fun Easter craft recipes, ranking from ‘quite easy’ to ‘too easy’ 😊:

Idea #1 – CONVERT YOUR EASTER EGG CARTON INTO AN EASTER EGG PAINTING EASEL AND PALLET

Recycle your leftover Easter egg cartons into a fun creative kit in just a few minutes, then enjoy hours of fun creativity with minimum mess to clean up after the holiday.

Supplies:

  • Egg carton (without the eggs)
  • Scissors
  • Hard boiled eggs
  • Watercolors
  • Paint brushes

Nice to have:

A variety of fun craft knickknacks – glitter, sequins, buttons, beads, etc.

Setting up:

  1. Cut along the folding seem of your egg carton to separate top from bottom
  2. Use the top as a container for your larger craft knickknacks
  3. Cut the bottom in half
  4. Turn one half over and use as your egg easel
  5. Keep the other half facing upwards and use the dimples to store small craft knickknacks
  6. After Easter, pop all the leftovers into the cardboard recycling bin

Make this a permanent creative workbench and decorate the egg carton by painting, drawing applying glitter, etc.

  2. Mark your design and cut out the curved shape
  3. Get your Crayons / Markers / Paint and draw your bunny face
